Our earth is bearing a great number of human, animals and plants and feeding all of them.
The peoples are cultivating for more production. They give some nutrients in the form of fertilizers. But the nutrients applied for higher productivity are not enough to replenish the fertility status of the soil.Very little organic matter is applied to maintain a healthy condition of the soil.Sometimes particular nitrogenous fertilizers are applied creating imbalance inthe soil system which turn give rise to series of problems.
Men apply pesticides to protect their crops from insects, pathogens and other pests. These pesticides often affect the ecosystem and create pollution which cause many problems for the human, domestic animal, wildlife, soil micro flora and vegetation.
The use of chemicals on the soil is indispensable for maintaining high production level.
But the indiscriminate use of them is never desirable. The indiscriminate use of the chemicals cause serious environmental damage which is detrimental to the lives of the earth.Let us create awareness among the farmers and all peoples to understand the demerit of using chemicals indiscriminately. Our telecentres may play a great role in crteating awareness.I invite active participation of the learned members to advance this campaign in all countries and communities of the world.

I agree with the points raised by Dr.Abedin regarding the indiscriminate use of agrochemicals. We may motivate the peoples through the telecentres for using balanced fertilizers recommended by the agriculture research institutes or appropriate authorities.
We may emphasize on the application of Integrated Pest Management(IPM) technologies for the control of insects, pathogens and other pests relying chiefly on non-chemical techniques.
Finally,I urge upon all to practice Organic Farming where ever feasible to retain a healthy environment for the humanity.
