The important challenge taht faces telecentres, Lack of ICT for dialogue between public and the government and need for feedback systems so that people can reach governments or NGOs etc
Most of public administration projects lack citizen centric approach. Projects are based on offer/leaders interests not on public demand/interest.
Lack of integrated Government on ICT and need for creation of awareness on ICT systems.

That is what i mean with the communication/IEC plan that I am talking about. There ought to be a mechanism that will give impetus to the fusion of interests of both the government (national and local) and the citizenry in regard to ICT4D in general and our telecentre movement in particular.

The integration of the services and features of a telecentre in the operations of local governments, like municipal, barangay and village governments, as well as in the operations of organizationally-stable extant establishments in the grassroot communities will definitely be a big step forward towards broadening the sphere of influence of our telecentre movement.

Apparently, some major aspects of sustainability, e.g., financial and organizational/management are not much of a major issue for such kind of models.
