
SCHR – Studies Center for Handicapped Research is a non-profit organization.

We have been developing these programs over ten years of active involvement to provide Persons with disabilities some necessary programs and information a about ICTs.
The organization is managed by a committee drawn from the local community. All the staff of the have a range of personal and professional experiences about disability in connection with training and development with ICTs.

The project aims at achieving certain goals for the welfare rural/urban community with special focus on (Adults, children ) with disabilities, first it is priority to our project to spread the ICTs in SNE in the targets areas and establishment of a computer training centre to assist accessibility of ICT to ( Blind , Deaf-Mute, Learning Disabilities and Mental Retardation ) users in the society.
Maximize the use of computer skills for the welfare or rural/urban communities.
Creating job opportunities for persons with disabilities .
Getting the disability cases to directly involved in their communities and achieve economic independence.
Implementation of many ICTs telecentres for PWD in the rural areas.
Creation of public awareness that SN people can utilize their potentials for their use and the society using adaptive technology.
Promote the use of ICTs in educational sectors, rehabilitation, develop disabled skills, to introduce and support the introduction of ICTs into organizations, the present indications are that an "Information Society for All ".
Which activities does the organization carry out
Our project ICTs in Special Need Education (SNE)
Is adopting feasible techniques to attain the maximum benefit for the trainees in this response our programme supports the use of ICT for disable people .
It makes use of all types of provision within special educational setting as a result of national or regional policy . The project refers different methods some of which are:
- Direct training to disabled children , carried out by our volunteers.
- Indirect training through communicating with household and disabled cases families.
- Exchange of expertise with the other interested agencies and specialists.
- Implementing special network for disabled to exchange information among them selves.
- Direct online for the disabled so that they inquire about certain services.
- Suitable support and consistent follow up to PWD through surveys , and statistics.
- Giving the disabled people guidance about the prepare job vacancies.
- Supporting the people with disabilities with equipments that are vital for their living.
Provide children with special needs a good opportunities.
Aims and Targets of SCHR - CAI
- Improve the E-learning experience for disabled students studying. The trainee will gain satisfactory experience that enable him / her to be an active member in society.
The accomplishment of this level of education for all students can be a highly stressful task for us .In spite of the all the unusual problems, the disabled student is ultimately able to overcome them and start a new life.
- Promote to help academic learning disabilities students to understand the issues relating to the development of accessible learning environment.
The project is specifically arranged to create healthy learning environment. Although the term "Special needs" is used in its broadest sense yet,
- Better understanding for this term by all people. For this reasons, andinitiated an ambitious move to rehabilitate the disabled and qualify them for good life.
Increase the competence and confidence of academic staff in understanding the needs of disabled students.
