The article on " Networks, partnerships and collaborative responsibility are key" makes a very useful point. The value of any network is its resources which is contributed by its members. I have recently joined telecentre.org and I have been browsing the resources. Thus far, my search has yielded very few - in terms of practical, applicable and usable tips, guides and knowledge-base. I think the network would be a far richer repository of information if more members actively participated in resource contribution. ...How? should be the question that we as members should actively ponder upon....

A second batch of aspiring Nuevo Vizcainos from the Nueva Vizcaya State University arrived in the Euskadi (Basque Country) in Northern Spain on 13 September 2008 to study at the Universidad del Pais Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU).

They have qualified as International Exchange Scholars under the auspices of the Nueva Vizcaya – UPV/EHU Academic Exchange Programme that was coordinated by the I.T. Division/Nueva Vizcaya CeC (NVCeC), Office of the Provincial Governor, in collaboration with the UPV/EHU and the Philippine Embassy in Madrid.

Our latest scholars are:
1. MR. ORVILLE HOMBREBUENO Y DULAY
Exchange College Student (B.S. Mathematics)
2. MS. ARSHIELA GAUUAN Y GALAPON
Exchange Faculty Member (International Relations)
3. MR. RYAN MANUEL Y PADILLLA
Exchange Post-Graduate Student (Master en Biodiversidad, Funcionamiento y Gestion de Ecosistemas)

The two (2) gentlemen are enrolled at the UPV/EHU Campus in Bilbao, Vizcaya. Ms. Gauuan who’s enrolled at the UPV/EHU Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava Campus, is sharing the same flat with MS. SUNDAE CLARE D. CALATA of Saint Mary’s University, who’s already on her 2nd Semester at the UPV/EHU’s Escuela de Enfermeria de Ciudad de Vitoria-Gasteiz.

To date, Ateneo de Manila University and three (3) academic institutions in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya are participating in the UPV/EHU Erasmus Programme, viz: Aldersgate College, Nueva Vizcaya State University and Saint Mary’s University. PLT College’s participation in the Programme is being anticipated to be formally launched on the occasion of the forthcoming official visit to the Euskadi by key Nueva Vizcaya officials to be led by Governor Luisa Lloren Cuaresma.
