FIDR is a not for profit organisation engaged in establishing telecenters, spreading computer literacy and job skills thorugh use of ICT, integrating ICT and health thorugh educating youth and rural populace on HIV AIDS, providing agro information, adult literacy through ICT, training and capacity building in managing telecenters as a business model.I am the acting Secretary of the organisation directly supervising the activities.FIDR is the state partner of NASSCOM Foundation.
Areas of interest/expertise and types of services provided:
ICT for development, telecenter establishment and management, developming business models for telecenters,content for telecenters and linking up with different programmes, creating employment oppertunities for computer literate rural youth through vocational training.

These are local champions from different countries, who, regardless of their educational status and personal circumstances, have dared to do something different to empower themselves, their organizations, and the communities around them.
It is interesting to learn how to make computer learning accessible to the poor especially those who only had a few years of primary education and are adults, especially the women.
A location managed by Ugabytes and supported by telecentre.org, where members can ask questions or provide responses to telecentre management, content & service development, training, technical, fundraising or evaluation issues.
Also, we might want to say that the position is based in Delhi (preferably)... if we fail to find a candidate from Delhi, we might look for one in Manila.
