I am Fatema Begum Labony, working as Research Associate (M&E) at D.Net (Development Research Network) since 2006. D.Net is a leading Research Organisation doing action research and implementing various ICT4D related programmes in remote area of Bangladesh.

I did my Masters at Mass Communication and Journalism from University of Dhaka. I also did MDS (Master in Development Studies) from East West University.

I wrote my first ever blog at telecentre.org and won the blog contest. This achievement gave me confidence that we are doing tremendous job here. I always feel privileged to be a member of telecentre.org because I am getting opportunities to share and learn from others. I spent my first four days of this week at Jhenidaha region for a monitoring and evaluation visit at Usha telecentre, running with the technical support of D.Net. Being an Evaluator (Female!!!)

I am working at D.Net as an evaluator. According to my job nature I have to visit at least 2 rural telecentre in a month. Some times I have to stay 12 to 15 days in two or three remote location of Bangladesh. All time I have to visit with some of my male colleague as I am the only female member in M&E division of D.Net.
