- Im senior lecturer in Business Information Systems at UBD in Brunei, I attempt to apply lessons learned in commercial ICT applications in the social/community environment, and hopefully learn some new lessons along the way.
The cycle of poverty in rural environments must be broken, equitable access to localised and relevant information may be the way ahead.

These are local champions from different countries, who, regardless of their educational status and personal circumstances, have dared to do something different to empower themselves, their organizations, and the communities around them.
It is interesting to learn how to make computer learning accessible to the poor especially those who only had a few years of primary education and are adults, especially the women.
