About Me:
Earned Masters Degree in Finance Dhaka University in 1993.Since then, worked in a various private sector organization in different capacity including General Manager (Marketing) of a Large Knitwear industry, Chief Executive Officer of Doors International Limited, SOle Disributor and Master FRanchise for Archies Greetings and Gifts Limited In Bangladesh. Joined development sector in 2003 with Katalyst Bangladesh mandated to contribute to poverty reduction by making markets work for the poor. As Senior Business Consultant of Katalyst, managed and/or assisted interventions in sevral services markets including marketing for SMEs, ICT for farmers and rural entreprenurs and Financial Services for SMEs. Besides, consulting lecture on Business Communication, strategi c Management and Research Methodology at several private universities in Dhaka that include State University of Bangladesh, Peoples University of Bangladesh and Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology.

Organization Description:
Established in June 2008, BIID is a private initiative aimed at improving livlihoods of the the rural communities particularly farmers, entrepreneurs and unemployed youth and women using ICTs . BIIDoffers services to private , non-government and public sector actors in ICT4D market segment of Bangladesh to develop , pre-test and replicate ICT enabled services and service delivery provision.
Areas of interest/expertise and types of services provided:
- Research for program design, feasibility study ( demand/supply/policy), strategy formulation , monitoring and impact assessment
- Service development,pre-resting and replication support
-National and International consulting for business model ( Telecenter/ICT initiative) assessment

Services:

- Offer provision for web based agricultural information and services across the country in partnrship with the Largest telecom company, Grameen Phone Limited.

- Serve SMEs with market linkage and business advisory services using ICTs ( www.sme.com.bd)

- Help citizens eduacate themselves about their rights and gain access to a platform ( www.complain.com.bd) to voice their complaints and concerns

- Forging public private partnrship (PPP) in improving rural communities access to public services by piloting ICT adption in processing and delivery of essential public services by local government departments.
