FROM 20TH DECEMBER, 2008 TO 7TH JANUARY, 2009 SENGEREMA TELECENTRE HAS OFFERED FARMERS, LIVESTOCK KEEPRES, FISHERMEN AND ELDELY IN SENGEREMA DISTRICT FREE ACCESS TO INTERNET AND SENDING GREETINGS ON THE RADIO GLOBALY .
THIS OPPORTUNITY WILL BE USED TO DEMONSTRATE POTENTIAL OF ICTs IN THE ISSUES OF; IN PUTS, RAW MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, MARKETS AND PRICES FOR PARTICIPANTS RELEVANT ACTIVITIES.
ELDERLY FROM SIXTY YEARS OF AGE AND ABOVE HAVE BEEN ENCOURAGED TO COME TO THE CENTRE WHERE TELECENTRE EXPERTS WILL HELP THEM SEND GREETINGS TO FAMILIES AND RELATTIVES ANYWHERE WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY.ALSO, THEY WILL BE INTRODUCED TO THE USE AND IMPORTANCE OF COMPUTER FOR THEIR LIFE.

ZAINUL ABEDIN on December 25, 2008 at 10:38pm - Whenever a gesture of good treatment to the farmers and elderly is noticed,I feel very good.I am eagerly waiting to hear how the offer is being taken by the concerned peoples.I like to know the numbers of them accepting the offer as well as some interesting experiences that may be gained from such offers.

I think other telecentres can learn a lot from its experience, especially the present one. Sometimes such activities bring a lot of people to the telecentre and impressed by these, they become committed visitors.
