In just two weeks since its announcement to the public on March 10, the Philippine Community eCenter Network (PhilCeCNet) online community has now reached the one hundred-member mark.

The PhilCeCNet online community, which makes use of the Ning platform, replaced the old Fireboard forum of the Philippine Community eCenter portal. It complements the PhilCeC portal in that it now incorporates such interactive features as groups, forums and member profiles, enabling telecentre implementers and stakeholders in the country to get to know one another, exchange ideas on common issues and interests, and stay connected.

Members can also make use of the RSVP functionality for important events such as the upcoming 5th Knowledge Exchange Conference for CeCs. In anticipation of the latter, a discussion was opened to provide members with the opportunity to have their say and make suggestions on the conference sessions, resource persons as well as other logistical matters.

The new setup is expected to promote greater interaction among members and facilitate further growth of the Philippine telecentre community.

To access the PhilCeCNet online community, click the Online Community link in the left menu of the PhilCeC portal. Or you may also directly type http://philcecnet.ning.com in the address bar of your browser.
